Get classification, valuation and filing right the first time—and represent shipments when customs asks questions.

The role

Build customs files that stand up.

Prepare import and export declarations, review the commercial file, work through classification and valuation, and coordinate assessment through release.

ICEGATE filing

Prepare bills of entry and shipping bills with complete, consistent supporting documents.

Classification and duty

Review product facts, HS classification, duty structure and relevant notification inputs.

Assessment and valuation

Prepare the working file and coordinate evidence or responses when customs raises a query.

Examination and release

Support examination, Out of Charge or Let Export Order and maintain the final record trail.

Qualifications

Accuracy is the job.

A small customs error can create real cost. Existing clearance experience and working knowledge of Indian procedure are strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Indian customs procedure
  • Understanding of HS classification and duty structure
  • Experience reviewing invoices, packing lists and transport documents
  • Clear coordination with customers and operating parties
  • No specific degree stated as mandatory; relevant knowledge and practical experience are assessed
  • Existing customs-clearance experience is strongly preferred
Working arrangement

Full-time and office-based in Ludhiana.
